Black Mountain Stove is one of the coolest stores around in any industry.

Our historic Black Mountain store began life in 1916 as a sewing factory. Later, it was the laundry serving the busy conference centers in the area. Abandoned sometime prior to 1979, Bob Orr rented the location and started Black Mountain Stove & Chimney with a single used wood stove financed by a high-climbing tree job. Today the old structure displays one of the most extensive stove & fireplace displays around. The moment you walk into our store you know what we are about. Stoves, chimneys and fireplaces is ALL WE DO and we know everything about them. We don't do patio furniture or grills like so many other stores that compromise their expertise for all season business. Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter, we are here with the most extensive display of heating appliances in the area. We have customers that drive for hours to come see us for the best products and advice. No matter where you live, it is worth the drive to Black Mountain to spend an hour or so with us. Bring your house plans and let us help you decide what is the best appliance for your needs and budget.

If you would like to enjoy the great experience of Black Mountain, come and plan a day. You may park and explore the town by foot and take in all the great local shops and one of the few remaining "mercantile type" stores, town Hardware and General Store. Drop in and see us. Discover the great heating options at your disposal, and spend some time roaming our streets. It will be one of the best  days of just loafing you ever enjoyed. Ready for lunch? We recommend My Father's Pizza, The Veranda, or Campfire Steak & Buffet for our hungry visitors.
